The fifth episode of the popular TBS Sunday Theatre "Reboot" (Sundays at 9pm) starring Suzuki Ryohei was broadcast on February 22nd. In one scene, the "real" Gido (Suzuki) tells Hayase (Suzuki) who is impersonating Gido, "You're being deceived by Ichika," which sparked suspicions on social media, with people asking, "Is Ichika the mastermind after all?"

After arresting Hayase, Gido tells him that he did not kill Natsumi (Yamaguchi Sayaka) and tells him, "You are being deceived by Kogo Ichika."
Gido admitted that he had embezzled money from the organization by threatening Natsumi three years ago, and confessed, "I was aiming for 1 billion yen with Kaieda (played by Sakamoto Yoshi). But the money disappeared before I could steal it, and I didn't kill Natsumi." He also revealed that it was Ichika who suggested rebooting Hayase, and that the 10 billion yen worth of jewelry he stole was fake.
Gido suspects that Ichika stole the real jewelry and intends to take the blame for everything on himself, pointing out that "things are going according to his plan." He also says that he thinks Ichika may have killed Natsumi, telling Hayase that "his goal isn't to save his sister. He's after something bigger."
Meanwhile, Gido receives a call from Ichika. Ichika has taken Gido's wife, Mayu (Kuroki Meisa), hostage and demands that Hayase be released and that he come to a designated location by 10 o'clock. To rescue Mayu, Hayase and Gido decide to work together and head to the apartment to retrieve the gun. However, Hayase is arrested there by the police, including Makita (Ito Hideaki).
On social media, people were excited, saying things like, "Hearing Ichika's story makes Gido seem suspicious, and hearing Gido's story makes me think Ichika is the culprit. I'm being toyed with completely," "Honestly, Ichika doesn't seem like a bad person," "If Ichika is the mastermind, why are they trying to free Hayase?", "Ichika is really the mastermind? I don't think so, and it doesn't seem like Gido either," "I guess Ichika probably didn't kill Natsumi. There's someone else who is the real mastermind," "Isn't Ichika trying to destroy the entire Goroku organization?" and "I don't know if Natsumi killed Ichika, but it seems like the real Ichika is already dead."
