This week's New Releases brings you information on new comics. Approximately 330 major comics will be released between January 20th and 24th. This week's releases include volume 78 of "Kingdom," which has been the subject of much discussion for the announcement of a sequel to the sixth series of the TV anime and the fifth installment of the live-action film series, which will be released this summer, and volume 14 of "Medalist," whose second season of the TV anime will begin airing in January.
On January 19th, the 78th volume of "Kingdom" will be released, as well as the 21st volume of "Shadow House," which has been adapted into a TV anime, and the 7th volume of "Dog Thread," an ice hockey manga by Satoru Noda, known for works such as "Golden Kamuy."
On January 20th, the 29th volume of the ballet-themed "Glorious Grand Seine," the 14th volume of "A Workplace Where Egao no Taenai Shokuba Desu," a work comedy set in the manga industry, the 7th volume of "The Champignon Witch," whose TV anime began airing in January, and the 13th volume of "Tamon's B-Side" will be released.
On January 22nd, in addition to volume 14 of "Medalist," other titles that will be released include volume 14 of "I Want to Touch Aono-kun, So I Want to Die," which depicts the unusual love story between Yuri and Aono-kun; volume 9 of "Twisted Sisters" by Yamashita Kazumi, known for "The Life of Genius Professor Yanagisawa"; volume 11 of "To Shimazaki, the Land of Peace," which was nominated for the Manga Award 2024; volume 14 of "Nostalgia Taro" by Yamada Yoshihiro, known for "Hyouge Mono," volume 11 of "Nikaido Hell Golf," a golf manga by Fukumoto Nobuyuki, known for the popular "Kaiji" series; and volume 176 of the long-running "Cooking Papa."
On January 23rd, the shelves will stock volume 8 of "Smoking Behind the Supermarket with You," which is also being talked about as a TV anime that will be aired from July, volume 14 of "Handyman Saito-san Goes to Another World," which has been adapted into a TV anime, volume 21 of the romantic comedy "My First Girlfriend is a Gal," volume 23 of "Mobile Suit Gundam-san," a comedy manga by Hideki Owada of the popular anime "Gundam" series, and volume 22 of the manga from the same series, "Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam Define: Char Aznable Gryps War."
