The 75th episode of the NHK Asadora drama "Bakebake " (General TV, Monday to Saturday, 8:00 AM and other times), starring Akari Takaishi , was broadcast on January 16th, and viewers were drawn to the celebration of the Matsuno family's move to Heaven (played by Tommy Bastow).
Toki (Takaishi) finds Heaven eating Western food without her family's knowledge. Toki explodes in anger when Heaven lies to him and tells him that she has a meeting with Nishikori (Ryo Yoshizawa Ryo), and instead of eating his and Fumi's (Chizuru Ikewaki) cooking, she instead savors the Western food.
After the newspaper article was published, citizens began flocking to Heaven's house, and she was expected to behave like a Japanese person, such as sitting upright and picking fish bones. "It's a bit tiring..." Heaven confessed her true feelings. Having lived a lonely life for a long time, Heaven confessed that she hadn't been able to tell the truth out of concern for the family she had finally formed. Toki told her that she wanted him to be honest with her because they were family, and Heaven promised, "I won't lie anymore." By sharing their true feelings with each other, the two deepened their relationship.
Afterwards, the Matsuno family members gave Heaven a handmade desk as a thank you and celebration for moving in. When Tsukasanosuke(Takashi Okabe) said, "The three of us made this together this morning," Heaven rejoiced, saying, "It's perfect! It's perfect!" Heaven, who loved the desk so much, exclaimed, "Here we go!", closed the sliding door, and immediately began writing her diary of her stay in Japan.
The drama's official account (@asadora_bk_nhk) explained about the desk, saying, "We gave Heaven a special desk! The desk top is positioned high, so Heaven, who has poor eyesight, can write easily without having to bend over. The side is carved with a boar's eye design."
Comments on social media included, "Heaven is so cute, overjoyed with the handmade desk," "It's a wonderful gift that is so typical of the Matsuno family," "What a great gift," "It really shows the kindness of the three of them," "I see! I was impressed," "The fact that it's handmade is great," "I was thinking the desk was a bit expensive, but it was a thoughtful gesture," and "You can become a furniture maker, Tsukasanosuke!"
