The first episode of the TBS Tuesday drama "Mirai no Musuko" (Tuesdays at 10pm), starring actor Shida Mirai, aired on January 13th. Viewers cheered on Akihisa Shiono, who plays Masao, Mirai's (Shida's) ex-boyfriend and the leader and director of the theater company "Albatross," with comments like "He's perfect for the role of the leader" and "He's so cool."

The drama is based on the popular manga "My Future Son: A Son Came Down From Heaven!" written by Kumiko Aso and illustrated by Hajime Kuromugi. Mirai Shiokawa (played by Shida), who is half-hearted in love, work, and dreams, suddenly becomes a mother. Through raising her child, she learns about the importance of living and supporting others, and begins to live life anew.
Pursuing his dream of becoming an actor, Mirai was busy with his activities with Albatross and part-time work, but Sakurako (Fujiwara Sakura), who he had known since he joined the troupe, left. Mirai tried to persuade her to stay, but Sakurako asked him, "We're getting old now," and "Can you imagine your future?", which made him wonder if now was the time to give up on his dream.
The hole left by Sakurako was huge. Masaki asked those involved to donate funds for the next performance, but was refused, with the reply, "We were able to sponsor it because our president was a big fan of Sakurako." When someone suggested that they cast someone more famous, Masaki replied, "We have Shiokawa Mirai. She's a great actress. I want to bet on her." Mirai, who happened to be passing by, secretly watched Masaki.
On social media, comments such as "Masaaki (Eikyu) is so cool. His beard and slightly grown-out hair give him the vibe of a theater troupe member," "Akihisa Shiono is great," "Shiono is perfect as the leader of the troupe," "His expression when he says, "We have Shiokawa Mirai in our home!" is the best," and "Akihisa Shiono with a beard is my type so much it makes my heart ache" became a hot topic.
Meanwhile, Souta (Amano Yuu) suddenly appears before Mirai, having come from the future of 2036 to reconcile Mirai and his father, "Ma-kun." It is still unknown who Ma-kun is, but on social media, many viewers assumed that Masaki was "Ma-kun," with comments such as "Ma-kun is Shiono-kun!" and "I'm betting all on Akihisa Shiono as Ma-kun."
