The 67th The Japan Record Awards will be broadcast live from the New National Theatre (Shibuya Ward, Tokyo) for four and a half hours starting at 5:30 pm on December 30th. Here is a list of the artists who will be performing and the songs they will sing.
The 10 songs selected for the "Excellent Work Award," which will be nominated for The Japan Record Awards, include "Darling" by Mrs. Green Apple, which won the grand prize last year, "Ii Jan" by M!LK, "Muchuu" by BE:FIRST, "Kakumei Douchuu - On The Way" by Aina the End, and "Baibai FIGHT!" by CANDY TUNE.
The nominees for the "Newcomer Award," which will be the "Best Newcomer Award," were CUTIE STREET, SHOW-WA & MATSURI, HANA, and BOYNEXTDOOR.
In addition, Ado, who received the Special International Music Award, will sing two songs, "Love, Love, Love" and "Sing," while Takashi Hosokawa, who received the Special Award, will sing two songs, "Kita Sakaba" and "Nostalgia Jonkara." In the Planning Award category, AKB48, along with Atsuko Maeda, Minami Takahashi, Haruna Kojima, and Rino Sashihara, will also perform two songs, "Oh my pumpkin!" and "Koi Suru Fortune Cookie."
The show will be hosted by TBS Shinichiro Azumi Yasuzumi and actor Haruna Kawaguchi, and will be narrated by John Kabira.
