NAZE, a seven-member boy band who will be appearing in the drama series DREAM STAGE (TBS, Fridays at 10pm) starring Tomoya Nakamura, which will start on January 16th next year, appeared at the illumination event "Ao no Doukutsu SHIBUYA" in Shibuya, Tokyo on December 23rd. They put on a special performance that thrilled the audience.
"DREAM STAGE" is a K-POP sports drama that follows Jun Azuma, a producer who was expelled from the industry for causing trouble in the past, played by Nakamura, and seven dropout trainees from a small Korean talent agency who form the boy band "NAZE" and pursue their dreams together across generations and nationalities. NAZE, which also appears in the drama, is a boy band consisting of seven members: Kaisei, Yoongi, Ato, Taan, Yuya, Kim Gun, and Dohyuk, and it has been decided that they will perform the theme song "BABYBOO."
"Blue Cave Shibuya" is one of Japan's largest illumination events, lighting up the rows of zelkova trees from Shibuya Koen-dori to Yoyogi Park. NAZE appeared on stage with great energy, and at Atto's signal, all the members greeted the audience with enthusiastic greetings, exciting the crowd.
Regarding the drama, Yuya said, "It's a 'spokon' drama that depicts the passionate bonds between friends set in the world of K-POP!" Regarding NAZE, who have been actively working ahead of the drama, Kaisei said, "In the drama, we appear as the boy group NAZE, and in the real world, even though we haven't debuted yet, we're doing various activities such as appearing at events and releasing music! I'm filled with joy."
NAZE performed "Wanderlust," a song featured in the drama, as well as a cover of Hoshino Gen's "Koi," which they also performed at the "Tokyo Girls Collection" in September. At the end of the event, Yuya, representing the members, said, "Thank you for coming today and taking the time to watch! Please continue to support us, NAZE, and the Friday drama "DREAMSTAGE" from now on!", which was met with applause from the audience.
