TV Tokyo's popular information variety show "Appearing! Ad Street Heaven" (Saturdays at 9pm) will feature shrines, temples and temple towns in Tokyo, Kanagawa, Saitama and Chiba in the December 6th broadcast, titled "Tokyo and Three Prefectures! Temple Towns."
The program will announce the top 10 temple towns based on the number of first-time visitors, the oldest year of construction, the size of the temple town, and the quality of the shops. The main power spots featured are as follows: Kanda = Edo's main shrine with its cute sacred horse, Myojin idols and masu parfaits, and shrine cheering? Sawara = The head shrine of the approximately 400 Katori Shrines, with the famous "dango" dumplings on the approach and the new specialty "warabi mochi" Kawagoe = Fortune slips that are likely to bring bad luck!? A photogenic shrine, and the popular "sweet potato chips and grilled goldfish."
Furthermore, Kamakura is the birthplace of Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine!? Offering boxes and hamaya arrows, Shrimp noodle soup and crab croquettes loved by writers, Narita - Goma bonfire at Shinshoji Temple that has been burning for over a thousand years, and the famous eel on the approach to the shrine that has been enjoyed by American VIPs are also introduced.
