The comedy duo Chidori's signature variety show, "TV Chidori" (TV Asahi, Tuesdays at 11:45pm), aired on December 2nd. In a segment titled "That girl in the commercial is cute!", Daigo confessed about a female talent he found interesting in a TV commercial.
Daigo said he had found a "future star" who is not yet known to the world. After seeing a commercial for the job information site "Indeed," he pointed out "This girl!", but his partner Nobu was speechless.
Daigo pointed to Kim Chaewon from the world-famous Korean girl group LE SSERAFIM, to which Nobu retorted, "She's a Korean super idol! It's not like you "discovered" her or anything. She's even appeared on 'Kohaku'!"
Afterwards, they started looking for a present for Chaewon. Daigo bought a tank top for about 30,000 yen and sunglasses for about 70,000 yen out of his own pocket, while Nobu looked surprised and said, "You're going to give another 100,000 yen to a girl you just met?!"
At the end, Daigo said to the camera, "I'm going to Korea quite often. If you'd like, please take me to some places in Korea that Chaewon knows. Good luck, Chaewon." Nobu was again amazed, saying, "That's gross. You didn't say a single weird thing! Even though the comedians were asked to leave a message at the end."
