Shingo sent a DNA paternity test report to his ex-girlfriend, Mamie (played by Kawaei). The report showed that Shingo and Mamie's daughter, Iroha (played by Aoi Ikemura), were 99.99% related.
When he was dating Mamie, Shingo said, "I want to stay with Mamie forever." However, his parents said, "My parents said it was not okay for me to marry Mamie. They said that when they saw photos of her, she looked like she had been through a lot." So he changed his mind.
"You didn't say anything back to me?" asked Makie angrily, to which Shingo simply replied, "Motohashi comes from a traditional, old-fashioned family." After breaking up with Shingo, Makie found out she was pregnant with Iroha.
Meanwhile, Shingo's wife Sayuri (Tanaka Minami) finds out about his relationship with Iroha and questions him. "That child is just like me, and very talented. I can sense the Motohashi blood in him. It's only natural that I would want to get what's mine back," Shingo says, but Sayuri can't stand it. However, she doesn't accept it, saying, "That's not like you, Sayuri. Why did I choose you? You should reexamine the meaning of your existence."
Social media was abuzz with comments such as, "Kasamatsu Masaru is so good at acting like a trashy guy that it really pisses me off (I mean that as a compliment)," "He looks like he's been through a lot...? It's scary how he doesn't even realize how funny it is to repeat exactly what his parents told him," "Kasamatsu Masaru is so disgusting, I can't believe his talent," and "If I watch Fake Kummy, I think I'm really going to hate Kasamatsu Masaru."
