An intermission video for the second part of the popular Gundam anime film series , Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway's Flash(directed by Shukou Murase), titled Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway's Flash 's Witch, has been released. The video features memorable scenes from Part 1, which was released in 2021, such as the battle between the XI Gundam and Penelope, an interview with Kensho Ono, who plays Hathaway Noah, and live footage of the band [Alexandros], who performed the theme song for Part 1, "Flash."
"Hathaway's Flash" is based on a novel published in 1989-90 by director Yoshiyuki Tomino, known as the creator of the "Gundam" series. Set in the year 0105 of the Universal Century, Hathaway, the son of Bright Noa, who experienced a bitter separation during the Second Neo Zeon War, pilots a new mobile suit, the XI Gundam, and rises up in rebellion against the Earth Federation government.
It has been announced that the anime will be made into three parts, with the first part, released in June 2021, being a hit, grossing approximately 2.23 billion yen at the box office. Like the first part, the second part, "Circe's Witch," will be directed by Murase Shukou, who has also directed "Genocidal Organ," and will feature voice actors such as Ono as Hathaway, Reina Ueda as Gigi Andalusia, Junichi Suwabe Soma Saito as Lane Aim. Part two will be released in 365 theaters nationwide on January 30, 2026.
