On October 15th, actress Mio Imada received the award in the acting category of the "anan AWARD 2025," an award given by women's magazine "anan" (Magazine House) to select "stars who symbolize the era," and attended the award ceremony held in Tokyo. "This year has been a year of challenges. There were many things I tried for the first time, and I'm glad that I was able to deliver a fun time to everyone," she said of her joy at receiving the award.
She received acclaim for her role as the heroine Nobu in the NHK Asadora drama "Anpan," which aired until September. "It's rare to play the half-life of a person, and it was my first experience, but thanks to the support of everyone, including Takumi Kitamura, I was able to get through the year safely and enjoyably. I had a wonderful year," she reflected.
When asked what kind of work she would like to try in the future, she smiled and said, "I would also like to try a dark role. I'm looking forward to (offers)."
The "anan AWARD" was established in 2020, the 50th anniversary of the magazine's founding, and recognizes the "faces of the time" who have been active and symbolic of that year. This year marks the 55th anniversary of the magazine's founding, and the winners were "timelesz" in the Grand Prize, Mio Imada in the Actor category, Kazuya Ohashi Naniwa Danshi 's Ohashi Kazuya in the Super Idol category, Takarazuka Revue's Oozuki An in the Stage category, Kiyo in the Absolute Champion category, Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters in the Athlete category, Tsukahara Ayuko in the Culture category, QuizKnock in the Creative category, K-POP virtual idol PLAVE in the Borderless category, and Moriyama Shintaro of comedy duo Mitorizu in the Body Make category.
