It has been announced that the manga magazine "Weekly Shonen Jump GIGA 2025 AUTUMN" (Shueisha), to be released on October 30th, will feature a special on Kohei Horikoshi's "My Hero Academia(Hiroaka)." The cover illustration has been released, featuring a new illustration by Horikoshi of the "New Top Ten" characters from the worldwide popularity poll "WORLD BEST HERO," the results of which were announced in December 2024. An acrylic stand featuring the illustration will be included as a bonus. A bronze statue of Katsuki Bakugo, who won first place in the popularity poll, "THE MHA Katsuki Bakugo, " is scheduled to be unveiled this fall, and the bonus item will include a postcard featuring a rough sketch by Horikoshi that inspired the statue, called "Bakugo No. 1 Postcard."
The magazine will also include a double-sided poster featuring a collaborative illustration between Horikoshi and Takeru Hokazono Ken, the author of " Kagurabachi Bachi," which was featured in the 45th issue of "Weekly Shonen Jump" (published on October 6th) and became a hot topic, as well as a double-sided poster featuring an original illustration of the new "My Hero Academia" top ten and a visual from the TV anime, as well as a double sticker featuring "My Hero Academia" and " Kagurabachi." The second part of a special interview between Horikoshi and Tonozono will also be included. The first part was featured in the 45th issue of "Weekly Shonen Jump."
"My Hero Academia" was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" from July 2014 to August 2024. Set in a world where approximately 80% of the population possesses supernatural powers and quirks, the story follows Izuku Midoriya, also known as Deku, as he strives to become the greatest hero. The comics have sold over 100 million copies worldwide. The eighth and final season of the TV anime, "FINAL SEASON," is currently airing every Saturday at 5:30 pm on Yomiuri TV and Nippon TV.
