It has been announced that comments from Director Kazuya Tsurumaki and Megumi Ogata, who plays Shinji Ikari, will be screened at "Monthly Eva EVANGELION 30th MOVIE Fest. 2025-2026," a project to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the popular anime series "Evangelion," which will be screening six theatrical releases. Director Tsurumaki's comments will be shown at the beginning of "Neon Genesis Evangelion Evangelion: Death and Rebirth," which will be screened from October 10, and Ogata's comments will be shown at the beginning of "Neon Genesis Evangelion Air: The End of Evangelion," which will be screened from October 24. Each comment will be approximately three minutes long and will be audio only. Comments from people involved in the productions will also be screened at the beginning of films screened from November onwards.
Between October and February 2026, one film will be screened per month (two films in October), with screenings for one week each. "Neon Genesis Evangelion Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone" will be screened from October 10-16, "Neon Genesis Vangelion Air: The End of Evangelion" from October 24-30, "Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone" from November 14-20, "Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance) Advance" from December 12-18, "Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo" from January Getsuku, 2026, and "Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time" from February 13-19.
"Death (True) 2 & Rebirth" will be screened as the successor version to the original screening of "Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time." The screening of "Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time" will also feature "EVANGELION: 3.0 (-120 min.)" and "EVANGELION: 3.0 (-46 h)," which were produced as bonus features on the Blu-ray disc of "Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time." This will be the first theatrical release of "EVANGELION: 3.0 (-120 min.)" outside of an event screening.
The "Evangelion" series began airing on October 4, 1995 with the TV anime "Neon Genesis Evangelion," and celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2025.
