It has been revealed that the film version of "Kyojo," starring actor Takuya Kimura, is being produced as a two-part series. The first part, "Kyojo Reunion," will be released on Netflix from January 1st, and the second part, "Kyojo Requiem," will be released in theaters from February 20th, making this an unusual project that combines streaming and theatrical release.

The series is based on the mystery novel series "Kyojo" by Hiroki Nagaoka, which realistically depicts the reality of police academies. Kazama Kimichika (Kimura), a strict instructor with graying hair and a prosthetic right eye, uses his sharp gaze to see through the various doubts, conflicts, and secrets that arise among the police academy trainees, sifting through the students and forcing them to submit their withdrawal forms one after another. The first series, "Kyojo," aired as Fuji TV's New Year's special in 2020, followed by the second series, "Kyojo II," in 2021, and "Kazama Kimichika - Kyojo 0," a story about Kazama's past, in the same network's Getsuku slot in 2023.

This film reunites Kimura, director Nakae Isao, and screenwriter Kimizuka Ryoichi, who have worked on the series, and the cast of the 205th class of students who will face off against Instructor Kazama, played by Kimura, has also been announced.

Tsuna Hironaga will play Kadota Harumitsu, whose hobby is photography and who is entrusted by Instructor Kazama with the task of recording the class in photographs; Kyoko Saito will play Hoshitani Maimi, an honor student who boasts top grades but feels pressured by her peers to catch up; and Yuki Kura will play Ujihara Kiyozumi, a calm person who always takes notes.

Sato Shori (timelesz) will play Yashiro Kippei, whose father is a police officer and who himself received a police commendation certificate before enrolling, making him the target of the instructors. Ikari Soya (KEY TO LIT) will play Watanabe Ryu, who is good at drawing and draws class scenes and portraits of his classmates. Nakamura Aoi will play Wakatsuki Hideto, who is confident in his physical strength and is skilled at subduing students using jujitsu. Other cast members include Kaneko Daichi, Igeta Hiroe, Otomo Karen, Yuno Ohara Yuno, Nakayama Shota, Urakami Seishu, Jotaro, and Matsunaga Arisa.
