Actor Jun Inoue will appear on the BS12 TwellV program "Tsurube-chan and Sawako-chan: A Great Senior from the Showa Era and the Strange Two," which will be broadcast from 9 p.m. on October 6. Inoue, who is from Shibuya Ward, Tokyo, will talk about his origins, including stories of his family's horse racing business, and his grandfather, a former army lieutenant who brought horse racing to Japan.
The show features guests each time, including two "Showa era greats" who call Tsurube Shofutei, who has 53 years of experience in the entertainment industry, and Sawako Agawa, who has 42 years of experience, "Tsurube-chan" and "Sawako-chan."
Inoue talks about his time with The Spiders, a representative group sounds band, and when he decided to become an actress after the band broke up, he learned two acting tips from his senior collaborator, Mori Mitsuko, with whom he co-starred in a drama, and looks back on the reasons why he has been successful in the entertainment industry for over 60 years.
At the end of the program, he also talks about when he developed sensorineural hearing loss in his 50s.
