It has been revealed that the 36th episode of the 22nd installment of the popular anime series "PreCure," "You and Idol Pretty Cure," will be linked to the live concert "You and Idol Pretty Cure LIVE2025 You & I = We're IDOL PRECURE," which will be held at the Pacifico Yokohama National Hall (Nishi-ku, Yokohama) on October 18th. The Cure Idols will perform live at Pacifico Yokohama. This is the first time in the history of the "PreCure" series that a linked episode will feature a live performance at a real-life venue.
It was also announced that Ami Ishii, Akane Kumada, and Chihaya Yoshitake, who sing the opening theme song, will also appear as themselves. Episode 36 will be broadcast on ABC TV and TV Asahi at 8:30 AM on October 12th.
Misato Matsuoka, who plays Cure Idol Sakura Uta, said, "When I first found out there would be an episode linked to the live concert, I thought it was something new! I'm sure it will bring even more excitement to all of you who will be watching the live concert! I was filled with such feelings! Personally, I was happy to see that in the anime, the Idol PreCure are preparing for the live concert just like us, and it makes me feel like we're one and the same! What's more, all the singers are appearing as themselves, which makes it feel incredibly special...! It's really reassuring to know that I'll be able to perform the live concert with everyone! I want to cherish the things the Cure Idols felt and said in the anime and stand on stage myself! What did they feel? What kind of view will they see? Look forward to the anime and the live concert!!! I'm really looking forward to meeting you too!"
Ishii, who will be appearing as himself, commented, "It was my first time doing voice recording, and I was so nervous that my hands were shaking as I held the script, but with the support of Kumada Akane-chan, Yoshitake Chihaya-chan, the voice actors, and all the staff, I was able to be myself." Kumada said, "As I was playing myself, it was my first time acting as a voice actor, so at first I was unsure about how to approach it, but thanks to the kind actors and staff, I was able to act from the bottom of my heart." Yoshitake commented, "I am so happy to be able to appear as myself this time, and at the same time, it still feels like a dream; I won't believe it until I watch the broadcast with everyone."
The motif of "You and Idol Pretty Cure" is "idols," and the theme is "Because of you, we can shine and become stronger!". The legendary saviors, Idol Precure, sing, dance, and give "fan service" for "you," whether it's the people they love, the important people, the people who support them, the people next to them, or the people in front of them, and your presence makes Idol Precure shine brightly and strongly.
The cast will include Misato Matsuoka as Cure Idol/Sakura Uta, Minami Takahashi as Cure Ink/Aokaze Nana, Natsumi Takamori as Cure Kyun Kyun/Shiu Kokoro, Yoshino Nanjo as Cure Cure Zukyoon /Purirun, and Miharu Hanai as Cure Kiss/Meloron.
