Doraemon's new look, Sakura Doraemon, unveiled at the largest event ever held in Japan for the first time

Doraemon from Fujiko F. Fujio's manga "Doraemon " appeared at the TOKYO DREAM PARK content presentation held at the TV Asahi headquarters (Minato Ward, Tokyo) on September 25th. A new look, "Sakura Doraemon ," with a cherry blossom motif, was unveiled.

TV Asahi will open Tokyo Dream Park, a complex entertainment facility with nine above-ground floors and one basement floor, in Ariake, Koto Ward, Tokyo, on March 27, 2026. On the same day, it was announced that the "100% Doraemon & Friends Exhibition," the largest Doraemon event to date, which has been held in five Asian cities, will be held at the facility for the first time in Japan.

The "100% Doraemon & Friends Exhibition," held in cooperation with the Hong Kong creative group "AllRightsReserved," will be an unprecedented Doraemon event, featuring exhibits that allow visitors to experience the world of manga, anime, and feature-length films, as well as photo spots with over 100 life-size Doraemon .

Four "Original Doraemon from the Japan venue" themed around the unique culture and charms of Japan were also on display, one of which, "Sakura Doraemon," was unveiled.

The opening ambassadors for Tokyo Dream Park, the comedy duo Sandwichman, and violinist Chisako Takashima also appeared at the presentation. The Sandwichman duo were surprised by the innovative design, saying "Huh!?" and "It looks like a different one," while Takashima commented, "It looks kind of delicious."Doraemon was surprised, saying, "It looks delicious!?", but added, "But it's cute. I hope you'll take good care of me as Sakura."
