" Anpan" is based on the married couple Takashi Yanase(1919-2013) and Nobu (1918-1993), the manga artist and picture book writer who created "Anpanman." It is a "story of love and courage" that will make you feel the joy of living welling up from your whole body, depicting how these two, who were once nobodys, overcame all sorts of rough seas to become "Anpanman," the embodiment of "unreversible justice."
In the final episode, when Takashi (Takumi Kitamura) opens the door to Nobu's (Imada) hospital room, his heart is filled with emotion at the sight of her smiling face. After being released from the hospital, Nobu asks Takashi if everything will be okay without him, muttering that he might not be able to see the cherry blossoms this year. Takashi denies that this is the case, and he can't help but embrace Nobu.
Anpanman soon became a hero to children all over Japan. Nobu says to Takashi with a big smile, "Takashi is my Anpanman." Scene cuts have also been released.
