Kao's new TV commercial, "You and Me," starring model Jun Hasegawa and her daughter Ivory, has been released on YouTube ahead of its TV broadcast starting October 3rd.
This is the first time Jun and Ivory have appeared together in a commercial for Kao's hair care brand, Merit's new product, Osolo (released on October 4th). This is Ivory's commercial debut.
Set in a scene from everyday life, the film depicts the feelings of a mother who is proud of her child growing into an adult, but also feels a little lonely, expressing the love between parent and child.
Regarding his co-starring with Ivory, Jun said, "I didn't want to let her do it unless she really wanted to, but when I asked her, she happily said, 'I want to do it!!' so I thought, 'Okay, let's give it a try!' I still can't believe we filmed together, but I'm very proud of how she was able to confidently express herself in front of the camera."
