"Anpan" Episode 128: Toda Keiko makes a surprise appearance in the "Anpanman" dubbing scene!

The 128th episode of the NHK Asadora drama "Anpan " (General TV, Monday to Saturday 8:00 AM and others), starring Mio Imada , was broadcast on September 24th, and viewers were captivated by Toda Keiko's surprise appearance in the dubbing scene, which marked the end of "Anpanman" as an animated character.

In episode 128, one day, TV producer Takeyama (Maehara Akira) visits Takashi (Kitamura Takumi) wanting to turn Anpanman into a TV anime. However, Takashi ( Takumi Kitamura) refuses, saying he doesn't want to hurt Anpanman.

Unable to give up, Takeyama returns a few days later. When Nobu (Imada) tells Taka, who is out, about Takeyama's enthusiasm, Taka calls Takeyama and says, "I don't trust you or the TV station yet. But I trust my wife. So let's do it," and accepts the idea of ​​adapting the series into an anime.

Taka was also in charge of the lyrics for the theme song, and when he showed the lyrics he had written to Nobu (Imada), tears welled up in his eyes. Takeyama was pleased, saying, "The lyrics were wonderful," but also revealed that he had received criticism that the lyrics were not suitable for children. Taka said, "Because it's a children's program, I don't want to compromise. But more than anything, I want to please everyone involved in this work," and rewrote the lyrics.

In the fall of 1988, Takashi refused to compromise during the production process, and it took two years to complete the film. Takashi and Takeyama watched the dubbing from the studio's control room.

Tobe Yuko, who plays Anpanman, burst into tears mid-sentence, saying, "My heart feels so warm inside. Helping someone makes your heart feel so warm..." Takeyama murmured, "Tobe-kun is crying. Maybe he got too emotional."

The voice of Tobe Yuko in this scene was provided by Toda Keiko, who voiced Anpanman in the anime series "Soreike! Anpanman" (Nippon TV) and also appeared in "Anpan" as the congresswoman Maki Tetsuko.
