A trailer for the Jujutsu Kaisen Kaisen movie "Shibuya Incident Special Edition" x "Culling Game Advance Screening" has been released for the anime adaptation of Gege Akutami 'Jujutsu Kaisen popular manga. Featuring the song "SPECIALZ" by the band King Gnu, the video shows the fiercest battle in Jujutsu history, which unfolded during the Shibuya Incident , including Satoru Gojo's domain expansion and the fateful showdown between Yuji Itadori and Mahito. The fierce battle between Itadori and Yuta Okkotsu, who share the same master, is also depicted, and Kento Nanami and others also make an appearance.
The film will include a special edited version of the second season of the TV anime, "Shibuya Incident," as well as advance screenings of the first and second episodes of the third season, "Culling Game." It will be released on November 7th. It was also announced that an IMAX version will be released at the same time. Movie tickets will go on sale from October 17th.
To commemorate the release, character visuals of Yuji Itadori, Yuta Okkotsu, Megumi Fushiguro, and Choso have been released.
"Jujutsu Kaisen" is a manga that was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha) from March 2018 to September 2024. The story follows high school student Yuji Itadori, who is thrown into a world of battles over curses after a powerful "cursed object" is unsealed. The comic series has sold over 100 million copies in total.
The first season of the TV anime aired from October 2020 to March 2021, and the second season, "Kaigyoku/Gyokusetsu/ Shibuya Incident," aired from July to December 2023. The movie "Jujutsu Kaisen 0 the Movie," a prequel to the first season, was released in December 2021 and was a huge hit, grossing approximately 13.75 billion yen in Japan and approximately 26.5 billion yen worldwide. A compilation of the second season, "Kaigyoku/Gyokusetsu," titled "Jujutsu Kaisen: The Complete Movie - Kaigyoku/Gyokusetsu," was released in May. A re-release of "Jujutsu Kaisen 0" will begin on October 17th.
The third season of the TV anime, "Culling Game Part 1," will be broadcast in January 2026.
