This is close to the program's highest ratings of 17.8% for households and 10.0% for individuals, set in the 69th episode.
" Anpan" is based on the married couple Takashi Yanase(1919-2013) and Nobu Komatsu(1918-1993), the manga artist and picture book writer who created "Anpanman." It is a "story of love and courage" that will fill you with the joy of living, depicting how these two, who were once nobodys, overcame all sorts of rough seas to become "Anpanman," the embodiment of "unreversible justice."
In episode 124, Nobu (Imada) bows his head and asks Kusakichi (Sadao Abe) to bake him Anpan, but is turned down.
Having heard from Ranko (Yuumi Kawai) that the show will be a huge flop if things continue as they are, Hatako (Noriko Eguchi) and Meiko (Nanoka Hara) go out to hand out flyers. Then the opening day arrives. Takuya (Motoki Omori) is at his wits' end over the poor turnout. When Nobu apologizes, Takashi (Takumi Kitamura) says he hasn't given up yet. When Nobu goes to check on the reception desk, some small children appear... and so the story unfolds.
