The film "Silent Parade" (directed by Nishitani Hiroshi), starring singer and actor Fukuyama Masaharu and released in 2022, will be broadcast on Fuji TV's "Saturday Premium" slot (Saturdays at 9 p.m.) on September 20th. This is the third film in the "Galileo" series, in which Fukuyama plays the protagonist, the genius physicist Yukawa Manabu.
"Silent Parade" is based on the novel of the same name by Higashino Keigo (Bunshun Bunko). A detective from the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department's First Investigative Division, Utsumi Kaoru (Ko Shibasaki), comes to consult with the genius physicist Yukawa Manabu (Fukuyama). A female student who went missing five years ago is found dead, but the suspect is Hasunuma (Kazuki Kitamura), a detective who was previously in charge of the murder of a young girl, but who remained completely silent and was acquitted due to insufficient evidence.
Hasunuma maintains complete silence once again, is released due to insufficient evidence, and returns to the town where the female student lived. Then, on the day of the summer festival parade, Hasunuma is murdered. The murdered female student's family, friends, and boyfriend all hated Hasunuma, but they all had alibis. And they all remained silent. Can Yukawa uncover the truth hidden in their "silence"?
To celebrate the release of Fukuyama's starring film, "Black Showman," "Saturday Premium" is broadcasting all three of the "Galileo" films in a row. The first film, "The Devotion of Suspect X" (released in 2008), aired on the 13th. The second film, "Midsummer's Equation" (released in 2013), will air on October 4th.
