It has been announced that Yasuo Ohtagaki's manga Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt will conclude in two more chapters, bringing the series to a close after 13 years of serialization. The 19th issue of the serialized magazine Big Comic Superior (Shogakukan), released on September 12th, will conclude the series in two more chapters, with the final chapter coming in the next issue on September 26th.
The 19th issue of the magazine will feature a special project to commemorate the series' completion, the "Permanent Edition Character & MS Directory." This project brings together veteran characters and mobile suits (MS) to look back on the story of the series.
The latest 26th volume of the comic, which depicts the final battle between Io and Daryl, is currently on sale, and the limited edition, which comes with a mini-book entitled "SWEET MEMORIES" depicting Daryl's childhood, has received such a great response that it has been rushed to be reprinted.
"Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt" is a manga by Otagaki, known for works such as "MOONLIGHT MILE," and began serialization in "Big Comic Superior" in 2012. It depicts the battle between the Earth Federation Forces and the Principality of Zeon in the Thunderbolt sector during the One Year War, as well as the battles between the Zeon remnants, the Federation, and the South Seas Alliance after the One Year War. It has gained popularity through being made into an anime and plastic model kit. The total number of copies of the comic published is over 5.5 million.
