The eighth episode of the drama series "Broadcasting Station Occupy" (NTV, Saturday 9pm), starring Sakurai Sho, aired on September 6th, and it was revealed that the average viewership rating (according to Video Research, Kanto region, same below) was 5.5% for households and 3.3% for individuals. This was the first broadcast of the drama in two weeks.
The drama is the third installment of the "Occupation Series," in which Sakurai plays the hot-blooded detective Musashi Saburo, and is set one year after the previous film, "Occupation of the New Airport."
The "Occupation Series" began with "Large Hospital Occupation," which aired in 2023 and is set in a huge hospital that has been taken over by a mysterious armed group. A sequel, "New Airport Occupation," set in a newly completed airport, aired in 2024. This time, Musashi, a detective in the Kanagawa Prefectural Police Department's First Investigative Division's Violent Crimes Unit, is seconded to the Metropolitan Police Department's Criminal Investigation Division's Hostage Crime Task Force (BCCT), but he becomes embroiled in another siege incident and begins investigating with new colleagues.
