On September 7th, idol group Nogizaka46 held the final performance of their "Midsummer National Tour 2025" at Meiji Jingu Stadium (Shinjuku, Tokyo). The venue is known as the group's "holy ground," and this year marked their 10th live performance. On this day, they "completed" this summer's tour, which began on July 5th and included 16 performances in seven cities: Hokkaido, Shizuoka, Osaka, Miyagi, Fukuoka, Kagawa, and Tokyo. The total audience was approximately 260,000 people.
The concert was based on the theme of "everyone being a heroine," and the members began their performance wearing colorful crowns. During the song "Manatsubi yo," in which all members participated, the audience joined together in a call that included the names of all the members.
Haruka Kaki, who led the tour as the center for the latest single, shed tears during the interlude of "Sing Out!" as she commented, "I would be happy if, through this tour, even a little bit of the good points of all the members could be conveyed to everyone." In her subsequent speech, she smiled as if she had accomplished her goal, saying, "I had resolved not to cry, but perhaps because I felt a sense of relief (that we could complete the tour) during all four days of the Jingu performance, I cried every single day. But seeing the smiles on the fans' faces and the happy expressions on the members' faces, I think I was able to achieve my goal (as the leader)."
Captain Umezawa Minami expressed her gratitude as she surveyed the audience, which was bathed in the glow of purple penlights, the group's color, saying, "I think our current strength is the strength of the love everyone has for Nogizaka46. Because everyone loves Nogizaka46, Nogizaka46 unique style is born." She went on to declare, "We want to continue to make our fans happy in our own way of expression." Referring to the venue's 100th anniversary next year, she vowed, "I want to celebrate here again next year! I'll definitely carry it on to the 11th anniversary!"
Even after the show ended, the excitement in the venue was still high, with thunderous calls of "Nogizaka46!" A surprise double encore was performed, with the band performing "Kimi ni Shikarareta." Following the double encore from last year's final tour performance, Kaki concluded with a smile, "I remember having so much fun and being so happy last year too. I'm glad we were able to do it again this year!"
