Mio Imada stars in the NHK morning drama series " Anpan " (General Asadora , Monday to Saturday, 8:00 AM and others). In the 24th week, "The Birth of Anpanman," which begins on September 8th, a new character, Nakao Hoshiko, will be introduced, played by Furukawa Kotone. What kind of character will she be?
Nakao Hoshiko is a student at the small tea ceremony class that Nobu (Imada) will be holding in his tea room at home, and she quickly becomes captivated by the charm of Anpanman.
Furukawa, who plays Hoshiko, will be appearing in a Asadora for the first time in five years since "Yell" in the first half of 2020.
"The character I play, Nakao Hoshiko, supports Yanai and Nobu until the end, carries on their feelings and connects Anpanman to the next generation. The scene where Nobu tells me that I look like Taka is one that stays with me. I am encouraged by her pure love for Anpanman, and even though she is clumsy and plain, she has an unwavering core, which I find encouraging as I approach filming. I am happy to be able to take part in this story with all my heart, as part of such a warm team," she commented.
"Anpan" is based on the married couple Takashi Yanase(1919-2013), the manga artist and picture book author who created "Anpanman," and his wife, Nobu (1918-1993). It is a "story of love and courage" that will fill you with the joy of living, depicting how these two, who were once nobodys, overcame all sorts of rough seas to become "Anpanman," the embodiment of "unreversible justice."
