It was announced on September 4th that "Aiba Hiromi's Trouble? Car?" (TV Asahi), a "hands-on help-people variety show" starring Hiromi and Aiba Masaki, will be broadcast every Thursday at 7pm starting in October.
The show has aired four special episodes since its first episode aired on December 31, 2023. The show has done its best to solve the problems of local people, such as cleaning up the dilapidated garden of a long-established inn, helping a farmer harvest vegetables, and even fulfilling the wish of a junior high school brass band with only five members by holding a concert with 500 residents.
The way they listen to the worries and concerns of their clients, and the teamwork between Hiromi and Aiba, who are good friends both in public and private, have also made them popular, and even as a regular show, they will continue to show natural, unpretentious interactions.
The regular broadcast of "Have Fun Learning! World Video News," which has been aired in the same time slot, will end this fall. After that, it will be broadcast as a special program.
◇ Hiromi's comment
I did it a few times on special programs, but it was physically exhausting, and it was one of those shows where I thought, "Please don't make it a regular show!" (laughs). I'm 60 years old, after all! My back hurts... and besides, is there really anyone who starts a new program at 60 years old? (laughs)!
Even though I have doubts like that, I'll do my best and take care of my health. Aiba is always working hard. That's why I have no choice but to do my best too... so please do it in moderation (laughs). Aiba is quick to learn, so when I teach him about the various experiences I've had, he immediately puts it to good use and applies it. I think it's thanks to Aiba's growth that this show has become a regular. ...I wish he'd never grow up (laughs)!
◇Comment from Aiba Masaki
"Is There a Problem?" is a program in which Hiromi and the entire staff work hard and give it their all to solve people's problems. Hiromi always says that his back hurts, but he still gives it his all, so seeing his back motivates me to work hard too. We solve people's problems, but when we see people's happy smiles after solving them, it makes us happy too, and in turn it gives us energy (laughs).
I think I've learned a lot from watching Hiromi (even during the past four recordings). When you're absorbed in something, you grow without even realizing it (laughs). Even after becoming a regular, I'll keep working hard with the attitude of "Come on over with any problem you have!"
