On August 30th, the second day of "Animelo Summer Live (Anisama) 2025 'ThanXX!'," a large-scale anime song live event currently being held at Saitama Super Arena (Chuo Ward, Saitama City), singer Hiroko Moriguchi appeared. Having suffered an avulsion fracture of her left ankle in May, Moriguchi performed seated, but still delivered a passionate performance of songs from the popular anime series "Gundam."
Moriguchi began by performing her debut song, "With Love to the Water Planet," the opening theme for the second half of the TV anime series Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam. Looking around the venue, bathed in the beautiful blue light of the penlights, she smiled and said, "Everyone's penlights are beautiful, like a water planet." Anisama is one of the world's largest anime song events, and she excited the audience by saying, "And by being the largest in the world, it means it's the biggest festival in the universe."
The second song was a cover of "Sad Warrior" by the late Daisuke Inoue, the theme song for the movie Mobile Suit Gundam II: Soldiers of Sorrow. Finally, she said, "This year marks the 40th anniversary of my debut. I want to express my gratitude for this 40th anniversary and hope that Anisama will continue into the future," and performed "ETERNAL WIND ~Hohoemi wa Hikaru Kaze no Naka~," the theme song for the movie Mobile Suit Gundam F91.
Anisama is an anime song festival that began in 2005 and is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. This year's event will be held from August 29th to 31st, with a total of 50 artists appearing.
