It has been announced that the sixth season of the TV anime "Kingdom," based on the popular manga by Yasuhisa Hara, will begin airing on NHK General TV at 12:10 a.m. on October 4th. The main visual has also been released, depicting Shin, Wang Ben, Meng Tian, and Wang Jian heading into a fierce battle over Ye. In the sixth season, Qin will enter into an all-out war with Zhao. To counter Zhao's genius military strategist, Li Mu, an allied force consisting of three armies led by Wang Jian, Kan Ki, and Yang Duanhe will be formed. Shin's Hi Shin Unit, Meng Tian's Rakuka Unit, and Wang Ben's Gyoku Hou Unit will join the allied forces as independent mobile forces.
The cast for the new characters of the Qin army appearing in the sixth series has also been announced, with Takeda Yukifumi as Akou, Matsumoto Dai as Asako, Tachibana Yoshino Nanjo as Kitari, and Mizunaka Masaaki as Katari. It was also announced that due to health reasons, Fujiwara Takahiro will be replaced by Tanzawa Akiyuki as Seki Tsune.
"Kingdom" is a popular manga that has been serialized in "Weekly Young Jump" (Shueisha) since 2006. Set in the Spring and Autumn Period and Warring States Period of China, it depicts the exploits of Shin, who aims to become the greatest general in the world, as well as the drama of heroes such as King Ei Sei of Qin, who later becomes known as the First Emperor. The total number of copies of the comics published has exceeded 110 million.
The first series of the TV anime aired from June 2012 to February 2013, the second series from June 2013 to March 2014, the third series from April to October 2021, the fourth series from April to October 2022, and the fifth series from January to March 2024.
In the sixth series, Shin, who has grown as a warrior, takes up the spear entrusted to him by Ou Ki and decides to enter into an all-out war with Zhao.
