The sixth episode of the TV drama "The Kidnapping Day" (TV Asahi, Tuesdays at 9pm), starring actor Saito Takumi, will be broadcast on August 12th.
Masamune (Saito) and Nanase Rin (Yuno Nagao), who are under house arrest at the villa of medical doctor Mizuhara (Uchida Yuki), call lawyer Yamazaki Tadashi (Tatsuya Fukazawa) using the emergency line.
Yamazaki was once Rin's private tutor. Rin asks for his help in escaping, but Yamazaki coldly refuses, saying, "I'm sorry. You don't know anything, do you?" He reveals a "secret" that even the genius girl Rin could not know.
Afterwards, Masamune and Rin enlist an unexpected ally and begin a daring escape plan, launching a counterattack against Kevin Fukuzumi (Kosuke Suzuki) and others.
Meanwhile, based on the confession of former security company employee Matsuda Masaaki (Harumi Shiho), the Prefectural Police's First Investigation Division, led by Tatsuoka (Tokushige Satoshi), concludes that Matsuda was the murderer of Rin's father, Nanase Mamoru (Handa Shuhei), and concludes that the kidnapper, Shinjo, and the hostage, Rin, are dead, concluding the entire investigation. However, local detective Sunouchi (Eguchi Yosuke) is not convinced and begins his own investigation into the case.
The original work is a popular Korean drama of the same name (2023). Masamune Shinjo, who becomes a kidnapper to pay for his daughter's heart surgery, and Rin Nanase, a genius girl with amnesia whose parents were murdered, evade the pursuit of mysterious men as they approach the truth behind the murder.
