Actor Haru attended the "KITTE-za Lantern First Dance" held at the commercial facility "KITTE" (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) on August 4th. Appearing in a chic white yukata kimono, Haru talked about her memories of the summer festival.
Haru recalled, "I often went (to summer festivals) with my family, and I went to the local festival every year. I received pocket money and enjoyed figuring out how to make ends meet with it."
"I loved 'painted rice crackers.' You take a big shrimp cracker and paint it with something like melted candy, then sprinkle colored spray paint on it so that it looks like you drew on it. I had fun painting it all over and getting lots of sweet stuff on it," he said, talking about his passion for the crackers.
From August 5th to 31st, KITTE will be holding the "KIITE-za Lantern Ondo" event, which is inspired by a festival and will give you a sense of the excitement of summer.
