It has been announced that the animated film "The One Who Steals This Book," based on the popular novel by Fukimidori Nobi, which was nominated for the 2021 Bookstore Award, will be released on December 26th.
This is a mystery-solving adventure fantasy in which a girl who hates books and a mysterious dog-eared girl run around the "world of books." The animation is directed by Fukuoka Daisei, who has worked on "Radiant" and "Kamisukuzu☆Idol."
The character design and animation direction will be handled by Keiko Kurosawa, who has worked on "Astra Lost in Space," Yasuhiro Nakanishi, who has worked on "Kaguya-sama: Love is War," and the music will be handled by Michiru Oshima, who has worked on music for NHK's taiga dramas, movies, anime, etc. The series will be produced by Kagokan, a production studio founded by Yuji Higa, producer of "Assassination Classroom" and "Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun."
