Actor Yuumi Kawai attended the "A-PAB Press Conference" held in Tokyo on July 10th, sponsored by the Association for Promoting Advanced Broadcasting Services (A-PAB). Kawai, who plays Asada Ranko, the second daughter of the heroine's family (the Asada family) and the younger sister of the main character Wakamatsu Ranko Asada (played by Mio Imada ) in the Asadora morning drama "Anpan " (General TV, Monday to Saturday, 8:00 a.m. and others), talked about her impressions so far and the scenes that left the biggest impression on her.
Kawai, who began filming in September last year, exuded a sense of fulfillment, saying, "It's been almost a year since we started filming, and we're nearing the end, but I've never filmed for such a long period of time, so I think that everyone (cast and staff) is starting to feel a real sense of family and a deeper attachment to the team."
When asked about the most memorable scene, she began by saying, "There are so many, but..." and revealed, "I started to really feel the meaning of family in my heart, and in that sense, it was the scene when Nobu married (her husband) Jiro ( Ayumu Nakajima) and had their wedding ceremony."
"When Nobu put on a beautiful kimono and everyone was celebrating at home, Misuzu Kanno, who played Setsuko (Jiro's mother), was so moved that when the cameras weren't rolling, she began to tear up and said, 'She's so beautiful.' At that time, Mio said, 'When you say that, I feel like crying.' They really were like a family. You could really feel that everyone was happy that the eldest daughter was getting married," she said with a smile.
At the press conference, A-PAB member companies NHK and five commercial BS broadcasters (BS Nippon Television, BS Asahi, BS-TBS, BS TV Tokyo, and BS Fuji) announced the "BS4K8K Satellite Broadcasting - Push the 4K Button to Watch! Campaign," as well as the holding of the "Lumiere Japan Awards 2025," in which A-PAB will co-host the 4K and 8K categories.
