Viewer ratings for the first episode of the TV drama "The Kidnapping Day"

The first episode of the TV drama series "The Kidnapping Day" (TV Asahi, Tuesdays at 9pm), starring actor Saito Takumi, was broadcast on July 8th, and the average viewership rating (according to Video Research, Kanto region, same below) was 6.6% for households and 3.7% for individuals.

This work is an escape drama based on the popular Korean drama of the same name (2023). It depicts the story of the kind-hearted and clumsy kidnapper Shinjo Masamune, played by Saito, and the amnesiac genius girl Nanase Rin, played by child actor Yuno Nagao, being chased by unidentified men.

In the first episode, Masamune Shinjo, a bad-tempered but good-natured kidnapper, kidnaps Nanase Rin, the daughter of a wealthy hospital director. However, it turns out that Rin is a brilliant genius girl who has lost her memory. Furthermore, Rin's parents are murdered by someone, and Shinjo is pursued as a murder suspect...
