It was announced that the new program "Let's Become Hinatazaka - 5th Generation Growth Variety" for the 5th generation members who joined the idol group "Hinatazaka46" in March will start on NTT Docomo's distribution service "Lemino", and the 5th generation members appeared at a press conference held in Tokyo recently. All 10 members introduced themselves and spoke of their enthusiasm, and also announced their wishes in honor of Tanabata.
The show is a revamp of the variety show "Motto! Hinatazaka Ni Narimeshou" that was previously performed by the 4th generation members, with the 5th generation members taking over. It is a "growth variety show" where the members learn from their seniors in the entertainment industry in order to become more like their seniors who are active in variety shows, radio, and dramas. It will be available on Lemino from July 14th.
At the press conference, everyone introduced themselves. First up was Mizuki Ota, who said, "I'm Mizuki Ota, 18 years old, from Osaka Prefecture. My latest obsession is crushing contact lenses!". Immediately, Manami Ono, who was next to her, retorted, "That's me, isn't it?", drawing laughter from the audience just like her seniors who have been active in variety shows.
In the section where people announced their wishes, Nina Sakai announced on a flip chart that she wanted to "increase the number of decent skills." She said, "Recently, on a live stream, I showed off my skills in "finding one side of a Rubik's Cube" and "inflating a balloon quickly," but they were unsuccessful... (laughs). I want to create a new skill."
Sakura Matsuo's wish is, "I want to meet all the Ohisama (nickname for Hinatazaka46 fans) even in my dreams." She smiled and said, "I often dream, and I've had many dreams with the other members, but I haven't had a dream with Ohisama yet, so I hope I can spend my dreams with Ohisama, smiling and happy."
At the end of the press conference, Niko Tsurusaki, speaking on behalf of the members, said, "We will be taking over from our 4th generation seniors, so we are still inexperienced and there is a lot we don't know, but we would like to take on many challenges on this program, learn one thing at a time, and do our best to become great members of Hinatazaka46 as soon as possible."
