It has been announced that a second season of the TV anime "Vigilante: My Hero Academia Hero Academia ILLEGALS," an official spin-off of Kohei Horikoshi's popular manga "My Hero Academia Hero Academia (Hiroaka)," will be produced and aired in 2026.
The dramatic teaser visuals show the main character, Koichi, walking despite being blown by the wind with a more tense expression on his face than ever before, Pop looking worriedly at Koichi, Knuckle walking away, and the mysterious villain, a scarred man. Commentary videos from the main cast members Shuichiro Umeda, Ikumi Hasegawa, and Mamiya Yasuhiro have also been released.
"Vigilante: My Hero Academia ILLEGALS" is a manga written by Hideyuki Furuhashi and illustrated by Arahito Bete, which was serialized in "Shonen Jump+" from 2017 to 2022. It is an official spin-off of the "My Hero Academia " series, and has been gaining popularity not only in Japan but also overseas.
Set in Japan several years before the main story of "My Hero Academia," the drama depicts the drama of illegal heroes, or vigilantes, who cannot help but save those in front of them, even if they are not "chosen" heroes, who protect people from villains who abuse their "quirks." The anime will be directed by Kenichi Suzuki , who has worked on " Cells at Work" and "JOJO'S BIZARRE ADVENTURE Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean," and will be produced by Bones Films, the same company that produced " My Hero Academia."
The first season of the TV anime began airing in April on TOKYO MX, Yomiuri TV and other channels, with the final episode airing on June 30th.
