"Sandwichman & Ashida Mana's Hakase-chan " (TV Asahi, Saturday 6:56pm) is a program in which children with knowledge and talents that rival those of adults give funny lessons as " Hakase-chan " (teacher). The "Sagrada Familia Special", which featured the Sagrada Familia, a World Heritage Site in Spain, aired for two weeks on May 31st and June 7th, and has been a hot topic, with over 1 million views on catch-up streaming.
On the 31st broadcast, MC Mana Ashida and talent Naomi Watanabe reported on the inside of Sagrada Familia. They explored the appeal of this "unfinished masterpiece" designed by the genius architect Gaudi and still under construction, and Gaudi's message from the church's many sculptures. In addition, Ashida interviewed Etsuro Sotoo, a Japanese man who serves as the chief sculptor of Sagrada Familia.
On social media, viewers were quick to praise the show, saying things like, "The conversation between Tono Etsuro and Ashida Mana was amazing," "It was a fantastic episode, as we got to see Tono Etsuro's feelings for Gaudi and why he has come this far, as well as his own outlook on life. According to TV Asahi, the number of views for the episode aired on the 31st was more than 18 times higher than the average number for programs last year. "Sagrada Familia Special" is available on TVer until June 28th.
