The "Happy Set 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar'", a collaboration between the picture book "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" and McDonald's children's menu "Happy Set", will be sold at McDonald's restaurants nationwide from June 13th. A toy inspired by the original and colorful world of the book will be included as a bonus. The "Happy Set 'Crayon Crayon Shin-chan Crayon Shin-chan", will also be on sale from the same day.
The first installment of the "Very Hungry Caterpillar" Happy Meal (June 13th to 19th) includes the "Very Hungry Caterpillar Apple Bubble" toy, which allows you to make soap bubbles, based on the motif of a caterpillar peeking out from inside an apple, the "Butterfly and Caterpillar Sunflower Waterwheel," which makes the flowers and leaves move when water is poured on it from above, and the "Very Hungry Caterpillar Little Turnip Bucket," which is based on a bucket motif.
The second round (June 20-26) will feature "The Very Hungry Caterpillar: Hide and Seek in a Strawberry Shower," inspired by a caterpillar peeking out from inside a strawberry, "The Very Hungry Caterpillar: Flower Watering Can," with a flower and watering can motif, and "The Fat Caterpillar: Leaf Boat," which lets you play ring toss. In the third round (June 27 onwards), you can get one of the six free gifts that appeared in the first and second rounds.
McDonald's official account (@McDonaldsJapan) is running a giveaway campaign where 50 people will be chosen by lottery to win an original Mac card with a caterpillar design. To enter, follow the account and quote a post with the hashtag "#TheHungryCatManPacked" from the account, adding the hashtag. The campaign will run until June 15th.
