The 15th single "Plazma / BOW AND ARROW" was released on June 11th, featuring the opening theme "BOW AND ARROW" by Kenshi Yonezu for the TV anime "Medalist," based on Tsurumai Ikada's figure skating manga. To commemorate the release of the single, a new illustration by Tsurumai Ikada was released. The single also features "Plazma," the theme song for the anime "Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuX," and the illustration features characters from both works.
"Medalist" is a manga by Tsurumai Ikada that has been serialized in the manga magazine "Afternoon" (Kodansha) since 2020. The story is about a young man, Akiura Michiji, who has failed as a skater, who meets Yuzuki Inori, a girl who aspires to the world of figure skating, and aims to become a glorious medalist as both a coach and athlete.
The first season of the TV anime aired on TV Asahi's late-night anime slot "NUMAnimation" from January to March. The production of the second season has also been announced.
