The manga " To Your Eternity " by Yoshitoki Oima, known for " A Silent Voice ," came to an end in issue 27 of the magazine "Weekly Shonen Magazine" (Kodansha), released on June 4th, bringing the curtain down on its roughly eight-and-a-half-year run. The cover of the issue was captioned, "A magnificent conclusion: the curtain finally falls on the eternal journey." The final 25th volume of the comic will be released on August 12th.
" To Your Eternity" began serialization in the magazine in November 2016. The story follows Fushi, who has the ability to transform into any object that stimulates him and regenerate even after death, as he transforms from a ball to a pebble, a wolf, and a boy, learning about life skills and emotions from the people he meets and growing as a person. Part 1 is "The Past Life Arc," Part 2 is "The Present Life Arc," and Part 3 is "The Next Life Arc."
The TV anime series has also garnered popularity, with season 1 airing on NHK Educational TV from April to August 2021 and season 2 from October 2022 to March 2023. Season 3 will be broadcast on NHK General TV from October.
To commemorate the final episode, the 27th issue of "Weekly Shonen Magazine" will be running a campaign where participants will be given away a reproduction of the original color illustration of the final episode, as well as a colored paper autographed by Oima.
