It has been announced that a special illustration card drawn by the original author, Akiko Higashimura, will be distributed from June 6th as a gift to moviegoers for the film " Blank Canvas: My So-Called Artist's Journey " (directed by Mei Nagano Seki, currently in theaters), starring actress Mei Nagano and co-starring Yo Oizumi.
The illustrated card features an impressive scene of the main character Akiko (played by Nagano) and teacher Hidaka (played by Oizumi), and on the back is a QR code that allows you to read Higashimura's special report manga "Until the movie ' Blank Canvas: My So-Called Artist's Journey' is made" (digital version, viewing deadline June 30th) for free. It is available in limited quantities on a first-come, first-served basis, and will end when stocks run out.
The film is based on the manga of the same name by Higashimura, who is known for "Mama wa Temperist," "Kuragehime," and "Tokyo Tarareba Girls," which are based on her own experiences. It was released on May 16th and has grossed 500 million yen and attracted an audience of over 442,000 people.
