The ninth episode of the TV anime "Witch Watch," based on the popular manga by Kenta Shinohara currently serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha), entitled "To Gara/New Friends/Date with the Night," will be broadcast on June 1st in the MBS/TBS Sunday 5pm anime slot.
Nico and Morihito were at the home of their classmate, Minami Kara. The reason was that Kara had asked them to "repair shredded paper." However, Nico's repair magic, Major Recovery, can only be used on objects that are in a bundle, and cannot be used on objects that are a mixture of various pieces of paper. Kara explains that the object she wants to repair is a letter from her late mother, and that her father was the one who shredded it.
"Witch Watch" is a manga by Shinohara, who is known for "SKET DANCE" and "Astra Lost in Space", and began serialization in "Weekly Shonen Jump" in February 2021. It is a fantastical "magical" comedy that depicts the cohabitation life of Wakatsuki Nico, who is training to become a witch, and her childhood friend Otogi Morihito (Morihito), a high school student with the power of a demon. Morihito is given the mission of being a familiar who protects Nico from a prophesied disaster, and a future full of difficulties and wonders begins. The anime will be directed by Ikehata Hiroshi, who has worked on "Kiratto Pri☆Chan" and other works, and will be produced by Vibrant Animation Studio, which has worked on "The Quintessential Quintuplets ∫∫". It will be broadcast for two consecutive seasons.
