The 44th episode of the NHK Asadora drama series "Anpan " starring Mio Imada (General TV, Monday to Saturday 8:00am, etc.) was broadcast on May 29th, and it was revealed that the average viewership rating (according to Video Research, Kanto region, same below) was 16.3% for households and 9.2% for individuals. The individual viewership rating of 9.2% was the highest figure for the show.
" Anpan" is based on the married couple Takashi Yanase(1919-2013) and Nobu Komatsu(1918-1993), the manga artist and picture book writer who created "Anpanman." It is a "story of love and courage" that will make you feel the joy of living, depicting how these two, who were once nobody, overcame all sorts of rough seas to become "Anpanman," the embodiment of "unreversible justice."
In episode 44, Asada Bakery receives an order for hardtack to be delivered to the military. Kamaji (Kotaro Yoshida) and the others are excited about this honorable task. Nobu (Imada) immediately asks Kusakichi (Sadao Abe) to bake the hardtack, but he refuses. While Kamaji and the others are puzzled by Kusakichi's stubborn refusal, Ranko (Yuumi Kawai) says that she thinks she understands.
