Brain scientist Nobuko Nakano will be appearing on Tetsuko Kuroyanagi's long-running talk show "Tetsuko's Room" (TV Asahi), which will air on May 30th at 1:00 pm.
Nakano is also well known as a commentator on "Oshita Yoko Wide! Scramble" (TV station, Monday to Friday, 10:25 a.m.). He is popular for elucidating human behavior from the perspective of neuroscience and clearly answering people's concerns. He says that being a commentator also stimulates the brain.
As a child, Nakano didn't know what it meant to be "childish" and it troubled her. Apparently, when she was five years old, she would talk about the "Lockheed Scandal" and "High Wave Warnings" in front of her family. At school, she didn't know how to interact with the girls and couldn't read the "atmosphere." There are some parallels to Kuroyanagi's childhood, and they have lively conversations in the studio. Nakano decided to study neuroscience in order to solve the problem of "what is normal?"
