Shueisha's sports media "Sportiva" released a magazine that focuses on volleyball, "Sportiva Volleyball Special Issue Vol. 3" on May 29th. SV League player Takahashi Ai appears on the cover, and the back cover features an illustration of Takahashi drawn by Furudate Haruichi, the author of the popular volleyball manga "Haikyu!! ".
The magazine comes with a supplement, a visual book titled "54 SV Leaguers Choose Their 30 Favorite Haikyu!! Characters," in which 54 male and female SV League players talk about their favorite characters from " Haikyu!! ." The book features color illustrations of the characters, and the players talk about why they like them and their thoughts about them. A " Haikyu!!" acrylic stand is also included as a supplement.
The issue summarizes the inaugural season of the domestic league "Daido Life SV League," which kicked off in October 2024 with a new look, following the end of the season in May. In addition to interviews with notable players from all 24 teams, both men's and women's, who have finished the season, including Takahashi and Nishida Yuji, the issue also features photos of the games, practice scenes, and an in-depth report on the SV League Championship.
