A special interview video of popular child actress Nagao Yuno, who plays the Japanese voice actor for Lilo in Disney's live-action film "Lilo & Stitch" (directed by Dean Fleischer-Camp, released on June 6th), conducted entirely in English with the original cast members playing Stitch, Lilo, and Nani, as well as a clip from the film, was released on May 29th.
In the released footage, Yuzuno fluently uses her English to try her hand at an interview with the real Stitch. When Yuzuno says "Hi!", Stitch's eyes light up and he responds with "Hello, Yuzuno! Thank you for the interview" while waving his hand. When Yuzuno introduces herself in fluent English, Stitch is overjoyed and exclaims "Wow! That's amazing!!" When Yuzuno asks, "Will you be my ohana (family)?", Stitch immediately replies, "Yuzuno! Ohana!" and they are both delighted, saying, "I'm happy!" and "Stitch is happy too!"
When Yuzuno congratulated him on the film's huge success in the US, where it was released before Japan, saying, "Congratulations on the film's huge success!", Stitch responded with joy, "You did a great job! I'm happy to be in the film with Lilo! Thank you, Yuzuno! I want many people in Japan to see it! Stitch is in it too!", promoting the film to Japan. The heartwarming exchange between the fluffy Stitch, who tries his best to communicate with gestures, and Yuzuno will make you smile.
In the second half of the video, Yuzuno also interviews Maia Kealoha, who played Lilo, and Sydney Agudong, who played Lilo's sister Nani, in English. When Yuzuno reveals her favorite scene, the two of them empathize, and it is shown that they quickly become good friends. The main scene in which the three of them unanimously say that it is their favorite was also released.
The film is a live-action adaptation of the Disney animated film of the same name produced in 2002. It is a fantasy set on the island of Kauai in Hawaii, depicting the important bond of "ohana (family)." A young girl named Lilo and her older sister Nani, who have lost their parents, are confronted by Stitch, a rowdy alien who knows no family love. Stitch's unpredictable actions cause chaos on the peaceful island, but this miraculous encounter eventually changes the sisters who were close to losing hope.
In the Japanese dubbed version, Stitch will be voiced by voice actor Koichi Yamadera, Nani will be played by MOMONA from the 11-member girl group ME:I, the kind-hearted surfer David will be played by Kaito Nakamura from the popular group Travis Japan, and the alien Preekly will be played by voice actor Yuji Mitsuya.
