The eighth episode of the TV anime "Kowloon Generic Romance," based on the manga by Mayuzuki Jun that is currently being serialized in "Weekly Young Jump" (Shueisha), will be broadcast on TV Tokyo and other channels on May 24th.
Through Yuron's investigation, Hebinuma learns that Kujirai B died of a drug overdose three years ago. Hebinuma feels a connection with her, as she once lived in the Second Kowloon, which he demolished. At the same time, Reiko is shocked to learn that there are people who cannot see her. As her very existence is shaken, she finds a way to live in Kudo's words, "I promise you I won't go anywhere." Yang Ming heads to Hong Kong to investigate Kowloon, and comes into contact with someone on the internet who knows about the current state of Kowloon.
"Kowloon Generic Romance " is a manga by Mayuzuki, who is also known for "Love is Like After the Rain," which was adapted into a TV anime and a live-action movie, and has been serialized in "Weekly Young Jump" since November 2019. Reiko Kujirai, who works at a real estate agency in the nostalgic city of Kowloon Walled City, has a slight crush on her senior at work, Kudo Hajime, and when she finds a photo, she learns that Kudo had a fiance who looked just like her in the past. As memories that can't be found, the true identity of her other self, and a huge secret hidden in the city of Kowloon intertwine, past, present, and future, love will unravel the secrets.
A live-action adaptation of the anime will be released this summer, with Shiraishi Haruka playing Riho Yoshioka Reiko and Tomokazu Sugita playing Kudou Hatsu, and Koshi Mizukami and Mizukami Koji co-starring.
