Ranko, who is looking forward to Gou's return, mentions the number of days left until he is discharged from the military: "279 days left."
When Nobu cheered, "I'm sure Gou-chan feels the same way, but I'm sure you'll do it," Ranko said, shyly, and left the room. Ranko opened the notebook that listed the number of days left until Gou's discharge, crossed out the number "279," and hid the notebook behind Gou's happi coat. Kamaji (Kotaro Yoshida), who was watching from afar, muttered, "Gou, hurry up...come here."
