Girolamo has been growing rice in Aizu Misato Town, Fukushima Prefecture, his wife's father's hometown, for the past two years. He decided to rent an old house as a base for his rice farming. His 99-year-old mother, who lives in Italy, apparently met her lover at the age of 95.
Nakadai is 92 years old. He still does 45 minutes of simple exercise and voice training every morning. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the actor training school "Mumeijuku" that he founded with his late wife, actress Kyoko Miyazaki. He also talks about his feelings for his students.
